Our restaurant is built next to a bronze age grave called kirigsuur. This burial mound consists of a pile of stones in a circular or square pattern depending on the sex of the person that was buried. The two meter deep graves have on the east side little stone circles containing ritual offerings.

Towards the Holy mountains on the north side of Harganat River Lodge the grounds are scattered with ancient tombs from Scythian people who roamed the area over 3000 years ago.

In the north lies the Tuvshin Mandal mountain range, referred to by the locals as Holy Mountains because of the many burial sites surrounding them, starting with the heritage site Uushigiin Uver Deer Stones 10 km east of our lodge.
