The Tsaatan are reindeer herders living in the wild taiga in the far north of Hovsgol Province bordering the Sayan mountains. They are related to the Tuvan people of Western Siberia.

Join us on our Tsaatan Taiga Trek where visitors can be accommodated in a traditional teepee styled tent, called urtz and experience their traditional way of life and culture living in close harmony with their reindeer and natural environment.

Imagine being Santa Claus, sitting on the back of the only rideable reindeer in the world! Support the local community by purchasing beautiful handicrafts and art work including intricate carvings in reindeer antler, bone or skin.
